See? Bitching works. We got our clothes back, and I had a shower and got some clean clothes. All better. I talked with my mom, and with a good friend from home today, so all is well.
I know you were worried.

only the clean clothes part is all better. right?
Um, I guess so: patriarchy's still kicking, so that's still worth bitching about.
I'm less homesick when I'm back in my own regular skin (ie: showered and dressed and wearing shoes--My armor!)
travel, especially overseas, brings out the whiny petulant child in all of us. (not that ranting about patriarchy is petulant; that's just good sense.)
travel is loss of control, loss of familiarity, too much stimulation. all you want to do is take a nap in your own bed and be 'normal' again. or, uh, at least that's the way i feel when i'm away from home for a really long time.
i think i would have burst into tears several times already.
